God Sees You

When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.” “How do you know me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus answered, “I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.” Then Nathanael declared, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel.” Jesus said, “You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that.” He then added, “Very truly I tell you, you will see ‘heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man” (John 1:47-51).

In this passage, God revealed to Nathaniel that He knew exactly who he was without ever speaking to him until then. Nathaniel knew he was under the fig tree by himself in deep thought, probably about life and the things of God to some extent. When Nathaniel knew for a fact, through this exchange, that this was the Son of Man, he committed his life to follow Him wholeheartedly in that moment.

Regardless of where you are, God sees you and knows exactly who you are, despite the image that you may project at school, on social media, in church, or any other public place. Time goes by faster than you think, before you know it your time on earth will be up… don’t get caught up in the cares or the rat race of this life…get caught up with living for and in a relationship with Jesus Christ! All the material possessions, friends, family, popularity, and relationships will come to an end, and the only thing that will matter will be what you do for God after accepting His son. You will stand before Him on judgment day, and what you did in light of Him will speak for you or against you. Only true joy, peace, and fulfillment are found living for Him, and only eternal life is found through a relationship with Jesus Christ!

#YODOS You only live twice…. We have to start living like it, or it will be our greatest regret in this lifetime and in the judgment to come.
